The Career Change Approach

If you are unhappy at work, or feel that you can achieve more, you may want to change jobs.  However, you may feel that a more fundamental change is what you need.  This could involve evaluating what drives you and what you want from a career.  
The approach we develop together will be unique to you.  
It will be :

STRUCTURED - To ensure we cover all the elements you require to create an approach that will work for you

TAILORED - To your personal circumstances, your  career ambitions and life goals

FLEXIBLE - It can be fast paced if you have time to commit or planned to fit your availability and existing commitments

The Building blocks

The Career Change Programme is built from six Building Blocks.  Each Building Block is a key element in the overall Programme.
All elements will need to be covered to give a structured approach, but each one can be flexed to develop a programme specifically designed for you.
Each element is designed to enable you to work at your own pace to fit around your current commitments.
Each element will need input and commitment from you - but I will be on hand to guide and advise as you progress through your  Programme.
  

Stepping through the Career Change Programme

Each element of the Programme is designed to provide you with insights and activities to help you understand more about you
  
Each step fits together into an overall programme, typically over a period of 3-4 months.

Initially the programme will focus on helping you assess what the future could look like for you.  Latter stages focus on action planning, networking and putting an action plan into place.
Through each step I will provide tools, techniques and guidance. We will work together.  I will provide you with feedback and constructive suggestions as we move through the programme.

Step 1 - Evaluation 

A key first step is to evaluate your current strengths and transferrable skillsWe will understand what drives you and what will make you successful

Step 2 - Shaping

A structured assessment process will help identify key themes and attributes that can help shape your future direction. We will start to evaluate high-level options and themes

Step 3 - Marketing

We will assess the best way for you to get exposure and increase your profile. This could range from preparing for job applications to networking and more direct targeted approaches

Step 4 - Networking 

Extending your network is one of the   primary ways of focusing in on what you want to do, helping you refine your approach and may result in new job opportunities.

Step 5 - Planning

Creating a plan is the way we drive your approach forwards. We will create a realistic activity plan based on your available time and what you need to achieve to meet your goals

Step 6 - Execution

This is the part of the process where you will need to devote time and energy in order to be successful.  Once started you will gain momentum and develop new ideas to refine your approach

Each element is designed to take you one step further along your new career path. Together they will become a powerful programme of techniques that will work for you and gain you new skills that will last throughout your career
